How do you know whether someone already walked the dog?

One dog profile, the whole household, walks as they happen. The question "did you take Nala out?" stops existing.

How do you know whether someone already walked the dog?

Seven in the morning. Michał is leaving for work and passes Nala in the hallway. Has Ola taken her out yet or not? Ola is asleep. Asking means waking her. Not asking means the dog may get two walks, or none. In the evening the same thing the other way round: Zosia comes back from class, Michał from a meeting, and each assumes the other has already been out.

The solutions we all know are a note on the fridge and a message in the family group. The note does not know what time it is, and after a week the group has a hundred other things on top.

How it works in Tropy

The dog has one profile, and the profile has a household. Whoever goes out presses start; whoever stays sees it at that very moment on the dashboard — no refreshing, the app talks to the server live. When they return, the walk closes with a route, distance and time, and everyone's dashboard gets a card: who, with whom, how long, whether the dog did what it needed to.

If you want, the phone tells you itself: "Ola went out with Nala", "Zosia is back". Every notification is switched on separately, and you can turn a series into a single summary. The phone never buzzes about poop or pee — notifications like that teach you to ignore all the following ones.

What changes in a week

  • Nobody needs waking and nobody writes "have you been out?". The answer is on the screen.
  • Going out together? Mark who came — the walk counts for each of you, for the dog only once.
  • A comment on a walk ("met that beagle again", "long one today, all good?") stays with the walk instead of sinking in the group chat.

What we deliberately do not do

There is no public sharing of walks. The route starts at your front door — only the people you let into the dog's profile can see it.
