Terms of service

Last updated: 14 September 2026

1. What Tropy is

Tropy is a service for recording dog walks: the route, photos and what happened along the way, shared with your household and sitters. The service is provided by Dev-Solutions Bartosz Giełczyk, 64-920 Piła, ul. Opalińskich 16, contact: support@tropyapp.com.

Using the service is free of charge.

2. Your account and the agreement

You need an account, registered to an email address you control. Signing in uses a code sent to that address or a passkey — you do not set a password. You are responsible for access to your mailbox and to the devices holding your passkey.

The agreement to use the service is concluded when you first sign in, for an indefinite period. You can end it at any time by deleting your account (section 11).

You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.

3. Technical requirements

  • A device with internet access and a current browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge) with JavaScript enabled — or the Tropy app on Android 7 or newer.
  • A mailbox where the sign-in codes can reach you.
  • Recording a route requires location permission on your phone. It is optional — a walk can be recorded without a route.

Data transfer costs are yours, under your contract with your carrier.

4. How to use it

  • Only add content you have the right to add.
  • Do not add unlawful or abusive content, or anything that invades someone else's privacy — this applies especially to photos showing other people.
  • Do not impersonate other people.
  • Do not attempt to reach other people's data or to disrupt the service.
  • Only invite people who are genuinely going to look after the dog.

5. Your content

Photos, comments and routes remain yours. You grant us only the permission to store and display them within the service as far as running it requires — including showing them to the people you have shared a dog with. If you switch on a public sitter profile (section 7), this permission also covers showing that profile's content publicly.

You are responsible for the content you add — including having the rights to the photos and the consent of the people visible in them.

Bear in mind that sharing a dog gives access to its walk history, and therefore to data about your location. Share carefully.

6. Household and sitter access

A dog's owner decides who has access to it and can revoke that access at any time. A temporary sitter is given access for a stated period and sees only the walks from that period.

7. Public sitter profile

You can create a sitter profile and decide whether it is publicly visible. Until you switch it on, only you can see it.

A public profile shows the name you provide, your town, your description, the photos added to the profile and an approximate service area — never the exact point you marked on the map. The profile may be indexed by search engines. You can switch it off at any time; search engines may keep showing a copy for a while.

Tropy does not vet sitters or their profiles and does not broker dog care. Any arrangement for looking after a dog is solely between the owner and the sitter — we are not a party to it, we charge nothing for it and we are not liable for how it is carried out. Check a sitter the way you would check any stranger you entrust an animal to.

You are responsible for your profile's content. It must not contain false information or photos that are not yours.

8. Availability

We try to keep the service running without interruption, but we do not guarantee it. Maintenance breaks are possible and features may change. The service is still being developed.

Do not rely on Tropy as your only source of location data or as a safety device. Route recording depends on the GPS reception of your phone and can be inaccurate.

9. Liability

We are liable on the general terms set out in law. We are not liable for content added by users, for the consequences of sharing a dog with someone the user granted access to themselves, or for care arranged with a sitter found through the service.

10. Reporting content and blocking accounts

If you see content that is unlawful, abusive or infringes your rights, report it through "Help & ideas" in the app or at support@tropyapp.com. Tell us where it is and why it is not allowed.

We handle reports without undue delay. We may remove content, hide a profile or block an account that breaches these terms or the law. We tell the person concerned why — unless the law forbids it — and they can appeal through the complaints procedure (section 12).

11. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time in settings, or ask us to do it by email sent from the account's address — details on the account deletion page. What remains in the service after deletion is described in the privacy policy.

We may terminate the agreement with 14 days' notice, by email to the account's address. In case of a serious breach of these terms or the law we may block the account immediately.

12. Complaints

Send complaints to support@tropyapp.com. We reply within 14 days.

We do not take part in out-of-court consumer dispute resolution. As a consumer in Poland you can ask your county or municipal consumer ombudsman for help.

13. Personal data

What data we process, why and who sees it is described in the privacy policy.

14. Changes to these terms

We will announce changes at least 14 days in advance — in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after they take effect means you accept them; if you do not, you can delete your account. Changes required by law or by security may take effect immediately.

15. Governing law and language

Polish law applies to this agreement. This does not limit any rights consumers have under mandatory provisions of law.

These terms are written in Polish. The English version is provided for convenience; in case of discrepancies the Polish version prevails.
