Dogs leave the best trails
Log every walk, share your dog with the household, and watch the weeks add up to a story. Free, with no cap on walks.
Log your walks
Route, distance, time and pace record themselves. You just walk the dog.
Share your dog
One profile for the whole household. Mum, dad and the kids log walks into a shared history.
Track activities
Poop, pee, weekly distance. Your dog’s health shows up in numbers, not guesswork.
More moments together
Photos from the trail and comments from the household stay with the walk. After a year it is those, not the kilometres, that bring the day back.
One dog, the whole household
The dog is shared. The walk history should be too.
In other apps every member of the household keeps a separate account and separate stats. In Tropy mum, dad and the kids log walks into one dog profile — you can see who went out in the morning, who went in the evening, and whether anyone went at all.

Mum

Everything Tropy does
Nothing here is coming soon. It all works today.
Below is the whole application, described plainly. If something is missing from this list, Tropy does not do it yet - and you will not find out the hard way after signing up.
The route records itself
Press start and put the phone away. Tropy records the route, distance, time and pace - with the screen locked too, because in the Android app that job belongs to a system service, not to a browser tab. You come back to a finished record with nothing left to fill in.
Photos from the walk
Take a photo straight from the app or pick one from the gallery - it asks which you would rather do. Photos stay with the walk instead of a separate album, so months later it is still clear where and with whom they were taken. One of them becomes the cover, so the walk stands out in the list.
Poop and pee in one tap
Two large buttons on the walk screen. Marking takes a second and needs no typing and no taking your gloves off. With several dogs out at once you pick which one it was, so the health numbers are counted separately for each rather than guessed.
One dog, the whole household
The dog is shared, so the history should be too. Mum, dad and the kids log into one profile, and the shared screen shows who went out in the morning, who in the evening - and whether anyone went at all. That last question is the one other apps cannot answer, because everyone keeps a separate account in them.
A sitter, for as long as you are away
Going away and a neighbour is looking after the dog? You share the dog for a set time, and the access expires on its own - no remembering to undo it when you get back. The sitter sees only the walks from their own stint rather than your family history, and you can take the access away at any moment. When they come again next year you invite them back, and their old walks return with them.
Comments under the walk
Under every walk there is room to write what happened - that the dog was limping, that you met someone on the path, that the weather was impossible. It is the place for the things that cannot be measured, and that turn out to matter most later.
Notifications that do not wear you out
You hear about it when somebody takes your dog out, comes back, leaves a comment or adds a photo - in the app and on your phone. You choose what you want to know about, and whether straight away or in one summary after the walk. By default it is a single notification rather than six.
A map that stays
When the walk ends, Tropy draws a picture of the route - a flag at the start, a chequered flag at the finish. You do not have to do anything or wait for it; the map turns up by itself and stays with the walk for good.
The walk you wrote down afterwards
The phone stayed home, the battery died, or you simply forgot to press start. You add that walk from the last seven days: when it began, how long it took, the poop and the pee. It is marked as added by hand, because nobody measured the route - and it is better that this shows than that it passes for measured.
Numbers without spreadsheets
Weekly distance, how many walks, poop and pee over time. You can see whether the dog is getting out as much as it should and whether anything has changed - and these are exactly the numbers a vet asks about.
Signing in without a password
There is no password, so there is nothing to forget and nothing to steal. You sign in with a six-digit code from your inbox, and on a phone you can turn on a passkey and get in with a fingerprint.
The Android app
The same application as in the browser, but with route recording that keeps working while the phone is locked. You install it once and it updates itself, without waiting on a store.
Three steps and you are out
- 1
Create a dog profile
Name, breed, photo. A minute of work and you are done.
- 2
Head out for a walk
Press start. The rest happens in the background, even with the screen locked.
- 3
Watch the history build up
Every walk lands in the shared feed, and after a few weeks you can see how much has gathered.
What Tropy does, question by question
Every feature has a page: a scene from a real week, what it changes, and what we deliberately leave out.
- How do you know whether someone already walked the dog?One dog profile, the whole household, walks as they happen. The question "did you take Nala out?" stops existing.Read
- How do you record a walk with the phone in your pocket?Start, phone in the pocket, finish. Route, distance and pace are waiting when you get back — and if the recording broke, the app says so.Read
- Who looks after the dog while you are away — and how do you know they went out?A sitter for specific days sees only their own walks, not the dog's history. You see every one — with the route, if you ask for it.Read
- Why keep track of poop and pee?Because "since when has he not pooped?" is the first thing the vet asks, and nobody remembers. One tap during the walk — and the app remembers.Read
- How much does the dog really walk?Days in a row, this week, eight weeks on a chart and who at home walked how much. Numbers from the route, not from memory.Read
- Signing in without a password — how does it work?A code from your inbox or a fingerprint. There is no password, so there is nothing to forget or steal.Read

Free, with no limits
Walks, the feed, sharing the dog with the household, statistics - none of it has a limit and there are no ads. Tropy runs on one server and does not need to earn on you to exist.

You are going on that next walk anyway. Let it leave something behind.
